About the product:

The HD steering rod kit for Jeep Comanche MJ 1986-1992 by Rough Country provide high-performance solutions in the off-road world. They utilize a durable 1.5-inch DOM tube that withstands the most demanding challenges while offering stability and precision on every ride.

Additionally, the rods replace the weak factory tie rods and drag links, extending the lifespan of the steering system components. They eliminate the need for a modified Pitman arm and increase the clearance between the tie rod and the differential cover, providing better protection for the steering system.

They maintain the rotational movement of the steering without unnecessary articulation while drastically reducing bump steer, which causes unwanted directional changes. The correct steering geometry ensures that the front wheels maintain their intended course, enhancing driving safety.

This kit works only with a 4-inch or higher lifted suspension and requires 16-inch or larger wheels. The factory pitman arm must be used to ensure ultimate stability and steering precision.
