Mushrooms patches are used to repair “post-nail” and similar damages on radial and diagonal, tube and tubeless tires using cold technology.
Mushrooms patches are an excellent alternative solution for repairing the tires that are usually used with a plaster stuck to the place of damage. A pin repair results in a stronger bond between the repair material and the tire. The dowel shank inserted into the hole prevents moisture from penetrating inside, which could cause corrosion of the reinforcing steel. It also protects the opening against further separation of individual layers of the tire.
Insertion of the pin into the hole is facilitated by a metal bar embedded in the pin. The pin is secured with protective material, isolating it from dirt. Any glue designed for cold repair can be used on the pins. The tire is ready for immediate use immediately after repair.
